Alison, a New York native, wanted her invitations to set the tone for her fun & elegant celebration at the Mandarin. Inspired by Manhattan itself we played up the contrasting styles of the city. To represent Uptown, we incorporated florals seen up and down the center of Park Avenue. For Downtown we created a pattern of dots and stripes, which appeared on her guest guide folder. The contrasting elements worked flawlessly to hit the perfect balance. The invitation and accompanying parts were letterpress in sea-foam and brown. Everything was tied together with an unexpected brown fabric bellyband.
